At 8:45 Friday morning, I was over at Rick's house with my bags and we were off on our car trip to Port Townsend. There's not much to say about the drive except that I kept trying to write a letter, but got distracted by the thriller book-on-cd Rick put on.
We arrived at Discovery Bay, which is where our condo was. After unloading the car, we went down to the little rocky beach. There was all sorts of life there! Sea stars, an otter, a bald eagle, two types of crabs, things in shells, seagulls, and white tube anemone things.

Then, we got ready for the informal square dace thing. A 20ish minute drive took us into Port Townsend. We found parking and the dance hall, which was smaller than we though. For being 45 minutes late, there weren't a lot of people there. It was fun, though I wish I'd had a partner. I got to dance with one of the guys who was in charge. He was a hoot and a half! There was an intermission where they had a handful of girls put on a can-can show. The old time underwear was funny! We were pretty tired by the end of it.
Saturday morning, we got to town in time to be in the big picture of all the people. We were happy to see that there was a decent-sized group. Then we got our tickets (Which we never used!) and wandered about killing time. We went in a novelty shop and into an alley to take pictures. Then, all of a sudden, Rick's phone died. And, 30 seconds later, a seagull pooped all over him! There was a spirit that didn't like men in that alley or something. xD
The first lecture we attended was a "Gentleman's Dressing Sequence," demonstrating how a gentlemen got dressed in the morning and what he would wear. Then, we grabbed lunch at a 50s diner. It was yummy! A demonstration- "Fisticuffs: The Martial Art of Victorian Pugelism" and then we ran over to see the beautiful dresses in the fashion show! After that, we headed home to eat dinner and change for the Victorian Ball that night.
